Two Smoothies for Breakfast

Hello smoothie-lovers!

I am back in Athens and just finished my classes. I have a workshop later, but now I have some time to write a quick blog post. I had a wonderful weekend in Barcelona and enjoyed the days at home with my boyfriend so much. I used these days off to relax, to catch up, to look for jobs, to cook and guess what.. to make smoothies of course. Ever since I have a blender I am making tons of smoothies. There are sooo many delicious and healthy combinations that I just cannot get enough of them. You can use different fruits, as well as vegetables and nuts and seeds and greens! They are good as a in-between-snack, after a workout, as a dessert, but also as a breakfast substitution. Today I would like to show you two of my favorite easy-to-make breakfast smoothies. I am often way too lazy to prepare a proper breakfast, so for lazy people like me it is a super alternative. They are very rich and flavourful and keep you satisfied throughout a hectic morning.

The first one I would like to introduce you to… is the peanut-chocolate aka Snickers-smoothie!

For two people

  • 1 banana
  • 1 handful peanuts
  • 30 g dark chocolate
  • 500 ml plantbased milk

How to prepare: Well…Put everything into a blender, and blend until smooooth…

I got inspired with the other smoothie during my trip to Morocco. You can get so many different juices and smoothies there – it is simply amazing. One of my favorites was the almond – avocado smoothie which tasted just insanely good. I made the mistake and ordered it during a dinner. I drank it within 2 minutes because it was just so… tasty…. but also rich and filling which ended in me eating waaaay too much that night.

Serves 2 people:

  • 1/2 handful soaked almonds
  • 1 banana
  • 1 avocado
  • 500 ml plantbased milk

Soak the almonds overnight. The next day put all the ingredients into a blender, press “blend”, wait, wait, wait, enjoy!
